Jennifer Roth founded Haute Hospitality, responding to a need in the industry for a curated, high-end selection of luxury interior finishes and furniture.

Jennifer came to me with strong direction for her company's brand. Ultimately, I helped her create a simple, yet flexible logo, identity system, website, social media headers and some collateral items, including business cards, note cards, notepads and even tote bags.

I worked with Lynn Coe, owner of knit 1, to create a special offering for her booth at Dose Market.

Knit 1 is a local yarn shop located in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago.

I designed two of the three beginner-level knitting patterns offered at the event and packaged them into kits, complete with the materials to create each of the accessories.

Invent for Humanity showcases field-ready appropriate technology and leverages the experience of professionals in intellectual property and licensing to effectively transfer technology to meet the needs of organizations and people in developing economies.

Working with a small team, including amazing designer Beth Wernet and a few interns, I developed Invent for Humanity from concept to execution.

IFH-Ecosystem.jpg

The first-ever Invent for Humanity Technology Transfer Exchange Fair brought together 15+ non-profits, technology developers and NGOs for a two-day conference focused on intellectual property, appropriate technology and tech transfer on a global scale.  I moderated the event, kicking off with a presentation of my own

I spearheaded participant outreach and developed and executed a comprehensive marketing strategy, including public relations, website development, marketing collateral, event materials, email campaigns, direct mail and social media outreach.

Non-profits and NGOs from all over the globe attended, shared their stories and exhibited appropriate technologies, including Solar Sister, Kopernik, Catapult Design, CSIRO, the World Trade Organization, GRIT, MIT's D-Lab, the World Health Organization (WHO) and LAUNCH.

The inaugural event raised over $11,000 to fund multiple technology transfer campaigns.

Knitting, and designing knitting patterns, is one of my life's passions.

Knitting (and any fiber art, for that matter) has a unique ability to bridge connections and create communities made up of the unlikeliest of friends. It is fabulous.
